Through a thoughtful blend of evidence-based therapy and holistic wellness, we support individuals, couples, families, children, and groups in building resilience, strengthening relationships, and navigating life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.
Guided by compassion, inclusivity, and aligned support, our clinicians walk alongside each client with care that is personalized, structured, and focused on meaningful, long-term change.
SAFE (Structured Analysis Family Evaluation)
The SAFE (Structured Analysis Family Evaluation) Home Study is a comprehensive, standardized assessment used to evaluate a family’s readiness, capacity, and suitability to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for a child or youth. SAFE Home Studies are commonly required by child welfare agencies, foster care and kinship programs, adoption services, and court-mandated processes across Canada.

At Olive & Oak Wellness, SAFE Home Studies are conducted using a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approach. We recognize the diversity of families and are committed to providing an assessment process that is respectful, collaborative, and transparent.

The SAFE Home Study includes:
- Individual and joint interviews with all household members
- A home safety and environmental walkthrough
- Review of required documentation and background information
- Exploration of family history, parenting values, cultural identity, relationships, and support systems
- Assessment of emotional, relational, and practical capacity to meet a child’s needs
- The process supports families in understanding their strengths, identifying areas for growth, and preparing for the responsibilities of fostering, adoption, or kinship care.

We also offer visit supervision services for families involved in supervised access or visitation arrangements. Visit supervision is conducted in a safe, neutral, and child-focused manner, prioritizing the emotional and physical well-being of the child. Services are provided with professionalism, objectivity, and sensitivity to trauma and family dynamics. Written observations and documentation can be provided when required by agencies or the court.
Final SAFE Home Study reports are completed in accordance with provincial standards and may be submitted directly to the requesting agency.

LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy
I provide a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental therapeutic space for individuals across the LGBTQ+ community. My work is grounded in cultural humility, respect, and an understanding of the unique challenges LGBTQ+ individuals may face, including identity exploration, coming out, relationship dynamics, family acceptance, minority stress, trauma, and mental health concerns.

I have experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients across the lifespan and approach therapy with openness, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. Clients are met exactly where they are, without assumptions or pressure, and are supported in building self-acceptance, resilience, and meaningful connections.

Your identity is honoured, your experiences are valid, and your therapy space is one where you can show up fully and authentically.
